An artist sensitive to details, Linda McNeil createsherartwork with a realistic style that is very crisp and detailed.Herpalette is a kaleidoscope of colors that mingle together withdelicatehues and subtle color shades to create unique happenings.

Her works range in size from 1"x1" tolargersheets(22x30). The miniatures and larger works have a uniqueappealin the presentation of farm scene, a wildlife sketch, ora wintersnow or summer scene. She is frequently inspired to createthenatural beauty in miniature and to recreate nostalgic glimpsesofhistory through the buildings and landscapes in historic areas.

The artist says, "I like to anticipate themagicalhappenings between myself and my artwork. I never getbored, becauseI know that I will never be able to recreate allthe subconsciousvisions and interpretations that I have storedaway in my mind.Creating works of art is poetic. The creativitythat I can haveby manipulating brushes, engraving tools, varioustypes of platesand color variations makes each work of art seemlike a happy accident.These happenings will preserve for thefuture treasures of presentand past."

A native of Pennsylvania, Linda McNeil has had manyfacetsadded to her resume that range from creating state of theart multimediapresentations with computers to coaching Lacrosseand working asa Media Specialist at Valley Forge Middle School.

Her studio is in Lionville(Exton), Pa. She has studiedwithvarious artists during her career. Her work can be locatedin manyshops and galleries in the local area, as well as galleriesaroundthe US. Anyone delighting in the rustic qualities of historicbuildingswill be intrigued with Linda's work because she likesto paintevery little crack and crevasse.
